    Description
    Offered for your consideration is a NOS (New Old Stock) pair of women's Rugby socks. Manufactured by Mishawaka Woolen Manufacturing of Mishwaka, Indiana, this is a pair of size 11 socks, sold under the Ball Brand label. They are a long pair of socks, which could, depending on the height of the wearer, easily extend to the knee, or possibly, just above the knee. From, I would guess, around the 1940s, the socks are made of wool and in a heathered brown, with deep olive color. The socks have a reinforced toe and heel for durability. The socks are in very good 'as found' condition. There is some discoloration to the tag and it is detached on one side and torn, but complete. I do not detect any moth damage to the socks, which is quite common with wool/wool blend apparel. The socks are about 35" in length, to the end of toe. They have a total weight of about 4 ounces. A very unusual and unique find for the vintage apparel or Rugby collection. Auctions can be combined to save on shipping. Thank you for viewing my listing.
