When my daughter got married, I wrote her a poem to express my love and what the traditional "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue" means to me.  I fashioned a charm for her to pin under the hem of her dress, and then I presented the charm and the verse to her the evening before her wedding.
