1984 Mercedes-Benz 300CD CDT

300cd. Daily driver. Super strong.
1985 was the last year Mercedes built the gorgeous 123 series turbo diesel coupe. They made these legendary cars between 1978 and 1985 , but only for the last 4 years with the turbo version . They are known to be the most reliable and enduring cars Mercedes Benz ever produced. You often find them with over 500k miles and still running well.
The good:Car runs impeccably. Super comfortable. Zero rust and paint is great for a 30 year old car. Everything on the interior is original except the radio, which has been replaced by a Kenwood head unit and alpine speakers. Sounds great. Power Windows are strong. On the exterior I had the rims dipped in chrome. The car is a real head turner. Original tags from Germany on the grill.  Paint is strong.
Drives incredibly.
It really moves quick once you get past 30mph but it’s no race car off the line.
It cruises effortlessly with 90 mph and still gets between 26-28 mpg of diesel. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears.
All in all an amazing car. Drove it without issue for years, maintained regularly, but I am downsizing my collection.

The bad:Leather on the driver's seat is worn from use by the seat belt, but nothing that inhibits performance.  There is a little dent (which you really have to look for) by the rear wheel I included a pic. There is some separation of the leather by the windows in the back seat but it’s an easy and very cheap fix, I just never got to it.
